FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why most luxury brands that use the same natural ingredients are much more expensive ? How are you able to offer fresh and high quality products at an affordable price as you do?

A lot of what is spent in cosmetics by these high-end brands is on packaging and advertising, marketing campaigns and much more. Also there is a big difference between mass-produced (which requires synthetic preservatives) versus hand-bottled.

We believe health and well-being are more important than business.Truly natural, safe and effective ingredients should be available and affordable for everybody. We want to create an affordable "Pure and Natural Lifestyle": This is our concept of Luxury: Uniqueness and Authenticity.

Are your products really all natural?

Yes, our products are 100% natural and pure with absolutely no fillers, diluting oils, synthetic fragrances, or unnatural components.

Are your products fresh?

Yes, all our products are hand crafted using quality and fresh ingredients with no chemical preservatives whatsoever. We believe products MUST be fresh to be active and to be beneficial not only for your skin but also to be safe and healthy for your mind and body and to give a sense of general well-being. Everything that goes into your skin, goes into your body.

If your products are 100% natural, how do I know they won’t go bad without the use of chemical preservatives?

The nutrient content is much higher in the fresh products but they don’t last for years, generally 3-6 months or up to 1-2 years, depending on the product. Since we don't add water in our products - like most commercial brands do - we don't need to use synthetic preservatives. Also, we choose to use the smaller package size.

We use natural plant based preservatives which are quite effective such as grapefruit seed extract and essential oils which have been shown to have anti-microbial properties.

What if I have an allergic reaction to a product?

Like any skin product, sensitivity could occur. Do a patch test first if you have sensitive skin and if you know you often react to products. Apply a small amount on your inner arm and wait 24 hours to see if there is any reaction. Avoid contact with broken skin.

What if I have a nut allergy?

If you have a nut allergy, there are some oils that could be reactive such as Avocado, Sweet Almond and Sesame. Ingredients will always appear in the product description for your review. Some nut-free oils are: borage, coconut (fractionated), grapeseed, jojoba, safflower and evening primerose.

I heard that citrus oils are photo-toxic. What does it mean? Can I use products which contain citrus essential oils without damaging my skin ?

Photo-toxic essential oils can cause skin reactions in sunlight and UV light (such as tanning beds). The good news is that there are some citrus essential oils that don’t cause photo-toxic reactions at all. These are: Mandarin, Distilled Lime, Sweet or Blood Orange Orange and Neroli.
(essential oils obtained from Citrus sinensis do not contain any compounds responsible for photosensitization).

Cold-pressed Lime, Lemon and Grapefruit are  photo-toxic, but distilled Lime is not.
Bergamot bergapten-free is not photo-toxic, whereas the regular Bergamot essential oil is photo-toxic .
They can still be used in topical blends, as long as they are diluted them in carriers appropriately, by a professional aromatherapist. Also, all photo-toxic oils can be used, as long as they’re applied to areas of the skin that will not be exposed to the sun. Therefore, avoid sunlight for at least 12 hours after application to the skin.

You offer different kind of Balms, Body Oils and Roll-on Oils. What’s the difference ?

They all have one common goal, to nourish & treat skin. The difference between them is the consistency, depth of moisturizing and repair, concentration of botanical ingredients and personal preference. If you only have one skincare product, we think it should be a Body Oil. Body Oils offer the perfect way to keep your skin moisturized while relaxing your mind. Body oils enhance the quality of your skin because they soak quickly and deeply into skin, leaving it moisturized all day long. Body oils are smooth and concentrated. Some common uses for body oils oil are acute or chronic injury, sore muscles and joints, acute bumps and bruises, minor scrapes or cuts. Herbal Balms have a denser consistency than body oils and a higher concentration of botanical and essential oils. They are designed not only to hydrate the skin but to also treat and repair naturally. Balms are solid at room temperature but easily melt when they come in contact to skin. Balms are the best choice for chronic or acute pain in specific area of the body, especially back or knee pain, and soothing stiff joints. Balms are also great for soreness after exercise -apply before and after your workout to improve your recovery time. Balms also soothe many skin irritations such as itchy conditions, eczema, scrapes, mild sunburns.Roll-on oils are more indicated for smaller areas of the body and it helps you avoid oily hands when you're out on the go. The practical roll-on packaging makes it an easy addition to your gym bag or the purse so you can reach for it whenever you like, when traveling or in your office.

Can your Body Oils be combined?

Each of our well-being oils contains a unique formulation of essential oils which have aromatherapeutic benefits. You can certainly use more than one oil during the day, but we recommend spacing it out (for example: use one in the morning and one in the evening). Also,we encourage you to use the oils when you wish to target a specific concern (example: Energia Body Oil when you need a boost to get through the day).

You say that the main benefits of your cosmetic products are to promote a general sense of well-being. I also heard that essential oils are being used therapeutically for many years around the world and clinical studies have been made and are currently underway describing the remarkable healing properties of various oils. Can you tell me some of the most effective essential oils known to help prevent, reduce or in some cases, treat some health-related conditions, according to these studies? Which are their properties?
