ITALIAN LANGUAGE PLACEMENT TEST

This is not an exam but a means by which we can assess your knowledge of Italian language . The language placement test will ensure that you are placed in a course at the appropriate level. Please complete the required fields in the form below to receive your test.

SHOULD I TAKE THE TEST ?
No, you should not take the test, if you are a true beginner, that is a student who has no knowledge whatsoever of the language you wish to study.
No, you should not take the test, if you have successfully completed a language course with us. In this case, you may register directly in a higher-level Italian course .
Yes, you should take the placement test, if you are not sure what is your level. An assessment is required if you are not a true beginner or haven’t studied Italian in the latest six months.

WHY A PLACEMENT TEST IS SO IMPORTANT?
You would not want to be in a course that is too easy for you, so that you would not learn much, or in one that is too difficult, so that you would feel overwhelmed. Consider that if you prefer to register to a course without taking a placement test the program of that course will not change

REQUEST FORM FOR A PLACEMENT TEST

After you submit the form you will receive the placement test. Please, print out the test and answer as many questions as you are able to (without using any aids) and email it (or simply take a picture with your smartphone) back to info@stefaniaborrelli.ca
The test must be taken without any outside help or books to accurately place you in the appropriate Italian course.
If you answer at least 70% of the questions correctly, you have passed the test and can proceed with the next level. Of course, this is only an approximation, but the result will give you an idea of your current standard.
